Gotta love when sis visits!

I think Kansas is having similar weather to Ohio presently in that our fourth here in Cincinnati is dreary and wet. I was genuinely looking forward to  trying something new but the weather had other plans. So we had a low key holiday which I don’t mind.

I haven’t gotten to share a ton the past few weeks because I have been on the go!  I went from Mexico for two weeks to home for a few days to South Dakota to Las Vegas then to Los Angeles.  The temperature adjusting and my suitcase was the hardest especially because the last three were thrown together literally, and then I got home and had a couple days to get our flat ready for a short term renter and clean up my house from the disaster of traveling/removal of flat and have stuff ready for my sister to come for a quick visit to celebrate Shannon’s birthday and join us for a Kenny Chesney concert.

Let me address that first off because I’m quite sure I have a few of you thinking hhmmm, that isn’t someone I would have thought she liked.  It’s not. I couldn’t name a song and the one song I could sing along to wasn’t his song. But we had the opportunity to purchase tickets because of our season tickets holders for fcc so we did!  Plus it got my sister to visit and made Shannon’s high school friend’s day, whom we both adore, so that was extra fun.

He doesn’t do any sitting seats on the floor and that most definitely isn’t my speed, especially for someone I don’t know in 90 degree heat.  So we tried some seats in a new section for us since it is where we have our soccer seats and loved experiencing a new “club” and view of the pitch!   We learned when sitting that high and near an aisle you battle a full stair case of people always so we may have figured where we don’t like to sit.

Had a wonderful visit with my sister, always too quick.  But we definitely pack all we can into the short time and start making a list for the next time she visits.  Besides the concert we purchased a sewing machine and a crap ton of fabric. She got me started on making curtains for the Covington house because every single flipping window would be a special order for any type of coverings. So guess who is sewing now for the first time in 35 years. And I wasn’t the best seamstress back then!  I may actually be better at this age (more patience which some are wide eyed on that and some get it) I maybe understand it more now and it was like riding a bike!

Going to sign off since I actually got something on paper and it’s a Friday!  😂🤦‍♀️

Love to you,

Jenny
