What a gift!!!

Sometimes in our world we meet people in the most unexpected of ways. This time, I met this sweet human thru one of my other favorite humans Eric. Annette happens to also enjoy live music, Adele and travel adventures and she met Eric thru concert goings and such and another mutual friend.

In June Eric messaged and asked if I could come into Vegas early for an already planned trip to hang with he and the guys because he had a friend that may have an extra ticket for the concert for the previous weekend. If you know me and I can physically make it happen I will always say yes to most things. And flipping of course I would to this.

Now I’ve been blessed to see this show more times than I should admit and it has a long list of adjectives because of how special that production and team is. But, I have never been able to see the show in a second row seat for a lot of reasons. It is a tiny auditorium compared to other venues she sells out so I get it. Again plus the production is insane.

Not to mention as a fan I can’t purchase tickets like that because I never make the cut of her fan list, Eric can’t get that good of tickets for obvious reasons, and if I had to do off market reseller would be out of my price range.

But Miss Annette, that woman is something special. From her heart to her insane business success, the passion and kindness in her is fun to witness. And I have been blessed now on a couple occasions to enjoy something special with her that I probably couldn’t have been able to do on my own.

So not only did I get to go with Annette to second row seats to a concert where I just sobbed the first few songs because it was so incredibly special to see Eric doing his thang, he could see me, plus the other band mates I’ve gotten to know and become friends with and are fond of. It is really cool to witness events like that up close and personal when you know the “players”. It touches your soul. And then the second half of that is being second row for a fucking Adele concert. Holy shit!!!!!!!!

So obviously we had a ball which I feel going thru life we should try and make each day feel like that, and to touch other’s lives in a way when you can to brighten their lives. And Annette feels the same way.

So when Annette asked me if I would join her for a birthday celebration in Maui, Hawaii, I probably didn’t let her finish before I was on board. And holy crap, Annette does things right!

We have laughed so many times at me suggesting something because I can tend to be cheap on weird things I probably shouldn’t be. and she won’t entertain the bottom of the barrel suggestions I point out. We both think hilarious and it is the BEST letting another friend win on choices ever. EVER!!

The things Annette chose for our trip are nuts!!! From a spa day that hands down has been my favorite in life, to a private guide for road to Hana, and also escorting us up the top of the mountain for sunset, our catamaran escapade that we LOVED (note I’m not calling it our whale watching since have seen more from shore of our home). An interesting musical event to a Hawaiian Luau and feast that was a magical experience to end the trip.

But I really have saved one of the coolest parts of the trip to describe and that is the home that Annette had for us. This island is truly a magestic island especially in Wailea where there is a stretch of homes just past the four seasons where many celebrities live. We have heard Bezos, Woody Harrelson, Jim Carey all have homes along the ocean and right at the start of those huge homes are two that are grandfathered in to be a vrbo and holy smokes. Of course those are what Annette found and we are staying in the house directly in the ocean, that has thought of everything for a guest, direct beach access and on the most amazing part of the island.

Daily we have watched whales and their spout multiple times daily, multiple whales, them frolic, sea turtles frolic, beach goers, mongoose, countless birds with a few enjoying our inside and just wait for the door to open. Sneaky suckers that have kept us entertained. This house exudes calmness not to mention always hearing and seeing the rolling ocean.

I hope I’ve painted a picture of how special this trip has been to me and also how special this woman is that has given me this opportunity.

Thank you Annette for also sharing the belief of “living pono” and for including me in your gift of loving life and sharing it with others.

Mahalo,

Jenny
